Palms Springs North Elementary does well in terms of standardized testing. It scored an 80% proficiency in math, a 71% proficiency in English, and a 67% proficiency in science, exceeding the state standards in every subject.

Middle Schools in Palm Springs North 

Mater Lakes Academy Middle School is the only middle school in Palm Springs North, and it is located on the same campus as Mater Lakes Academy High School. Mater Lakes Academy Middle and Mater Lakes Academy High are both a part of Miami-Dade County’s public charter school system. That means students must apply and be selected to attend both of these schools. 

Greatschools.org rates Mater Lakes Academy Middle a 7/10. In terms of academic performance, Mater Lakes Academy Middle does fairly well. It scored a 75% proficiency in math, a 72% proficiency in English, and a 42% proficiency in science, exceeding the state standard in every subject but science.   

Mater Lakes Academy Middle is unique in that it offers its middle school students the opportunity to take classes at a high school level. It is also positively reviewed by parents.

Mater Lakes Academy High also earned the College Success Award for their efforts in preparing students for college and later careers in 2019. And its academic performance isn’t too bad either. Mater Lakes Academy High scored an 86% proficiency in U.S. History, a 59% proficiency in geometry, and a 59% proficiency in biology, exceeding the state standard in every subject but biology.
